Here’s Savatage, a Florida-based metal group – officially formed in 1983. Almost immediately, Savatage started releasing music with their distinctive sound. Here’s an example – a live rendition of Hall of the Mountain King:
The question we started with was – where to begin? Do we start by discussing the legends of heavy metal, or do we pick an obscure band and begin the journey that this site is about?
